TERMS OF TRADING

•     All prices are quoted in £ per square metre ex works unless otherwise stated.
•     VAT must be added to all prices.
•     Goods will only be accepted on return at our discretion and we reserve the right to charge a 20% handling fee.
•     Goods collected or delivered remain the property of Chauncey’s until they are paid for in full.
•     Goods may be inspected at our warehouse before delivery.
•     Prices and stock levels may change and therefore advertised goods or prices may be subject to change.
•     20% deposit is required for all orders.  Special orders and orders due within 14 days need to be prepaid in full.
•     All cheques must be paid at least 5 days in advance and cleared before any goods may be delivered or collected.
•     Phone credit card payments may be accepted, but the card must be available to be inspected and the signature verified on delivery.
•     Delivery is free to local customers spending more than £1000.  Other deliveries are charged on a mileage rate with a minimum charge of £30.
•     Deliveries are to ground floor level only.
•     The Customer is responsible for unloading goods with his own labour and without undue delay.
•     The customer must organise adequate labour to unload.  Failure to do so may result in the delivery being returned to our warehouse and a charge for delivery being made.
•     Space for the delivery vehicle will need to be reserved if the delivery takes place in a narrow road where there is no passing room for other vehicles. Failure to do so may result in the delivery being returned to our warehouse and a charge for delivery being made.
•     Chauncey’s are not responsible for stacking the wood.  Stacking advice sheets are available on request.
•     Any delivery date specified is an estimate only; Chauncey’s is not liable for any consequences of delay.
•     The Customer shall be deemed to have accepted the goods if he retains them for more than 7 days without notifying the seller in writing that he has rejected them.

•     Any complaint or claim must be notified to the seller in writing within 7 days of the receipt of the goods.  Where a complaint is made the consignment as a whole must be retained or returned un-used.  No claim will be accepted for any part of any consignment after work has commenced using the goods.
•      The absence of any complaint or claim within 7 days is conclusive evidence that the goods conformed with the contract in all respects.
