EUROPEAN OAK is an elegant characterful timber with more grain change and colour variation than American oak. This type of oak can lend itself to modern and historic interiors. |

ORIGINS Our European Standard and Continental oak flooring is sourced from sustainably managed forestry in Germany on the edges of the Black Forest near the Czech border. The trees used are selective thinnings which are felled during September and October as part of a sustainably managed forestry programme. The butts(logs) are then sawn, graded and airdried during the winter months in Germany, before being dried in high tech kilns. |
