SIKABOND ADHESIVES:

Where laying solid timber boards directly to solid concrete we would recommend the use of Sikabond flexible adhesives. T54 is a high performance, solvent free trowel grade elastic timber flooring adhesive. T54 is applied with a notched trowel like tile adhesive. SIKA T2 is a similar product which is squeezed out of T2 sausages with a gun or manually to produce "liquid battens" which can be then used to bond the solid boards as with the trowelled product.

SOUND INSULATION: T52 sausages can be used in combination with a silent layer quilt. Can absorb up to 23db.

DAMP PROOF MEMBRANE: Where the concrete subfloor has been tested and found to be too damp for directly fixing hardwood floor down, try using SIKA Primer MB which can be used in conjunction with T54 and other Sikabond adhesives. Please call for more details or click here.

Sika 542W+ (15Kg)

A solvent free adhesive for applying wooden blocks or engineered boards to concrete or other solid substrate. Applied by 3mm notched trowel.

Coverage: 1.2m² per Kg.

PARQUET BLOCKS:

When laying parquet blocks we recommend the use of Lecol 7500 for filling small gaps . This is a clear resin which is mixed to form a putty with the wood floor obtained by the fine sanding of the floor.

Available in 0.8Kg and 5kg.
