	At Chauncey’s we are constantly striving to bring you the best in wooden flooring – and now we’ve found the perfect solution for wide plank flooring that is resistant to swelling, twisting, warping and shrinkage. In fact, CHAUNCEY’S TECTONIC FLOORING, even though it is so wide, is so resistant to movement that it can be used over underfloor heating. TECTONIC wide plank flooring has a unique structure; layers of water-resistant Russian birch ply are glued together in opposing directions to form a 15mm base and finished with a 6mm hardwood layer. This gives the appearance and the durability of a solid wide board (180mm or 240mm), but also ensures even better stability than a traditional engineered board with softwood cores. In addition, TECTONIC boards can be unfinished or pre-finished, leaving you the opportunity to apply a lacquer or oil of your own choice, to produce a more natural looking floor. Tectonic Oak is available in two widths (including extra wide 240mm) which can be mixed to produce a random width floor.
	The production process is ‘state of the art’ and the construction of the boards is very strictly controlled.The highest quality raw materials are used and the hardwood top layers are sourced exclusively from ecologically responsible and well-managed sources.
