Any of our unfinished floorboards can be finished by our craftsmen in Bristol to a variety of custom options - made to your requirements. We work with designers worldwide to produces a range of colours and finishes produced with environmentally sustainable oils and pigments.

SURFACE TEXTURES:

BRUSHED: High speed brushing with steel brushes to remove some of the softer grain and therefore exaggerate the surface texture of the grain.

DISTRESSED: Edges and surfaces treated by hand and machine to produced an authentic aged appearance for use in restoration projects.

SAWN: Boards are planed and then resawn to leave bandsaw marks which are then softened with brushing.

SURFACE COLOURS:

SURFACE COLOURED: Top surfaces are treated with 2 coats of colour tinted hardwax oil prior to a final coat of clear hardwax oil to finish.(SEE COLOURS BELOW).

STAINED: Coloured with a deep penetrating stain prior to finishing with a clear finish or oak can be smoked.

MIXED FINISHES : Oak boards may be smoked or stained prior to applying a chalk or white oil.

TECTONIC OR SOLID OAK COLOURS (FINISHED WITH COLOURED HARDWAX OILS)
