It changes the colour to a beautiful chocolate brown throughout
the thickness of the board, so even after sanding they retain their
colour, unlike stained boards.

It changes the cell walls of the wood reducing its capacity to take
up or give out moisture (the main reason for movement in use). Hence
the boards are more suitable for use over underfloor heating, and areas
of variable humidity such as kitchens and bathrooms.

Boards can be finished as normal with hardwax oil finish.

Boards look great in period and new properties.
